Spend A Semester Abroad
Travel abroad for an entire semester so you have several months to enjoy this cross-cultural experience! Studying abroad for the semester provides you with sufficient time to enjoy academic and personal experiences, while deeply immersing you in the local culture.
½ûÂþÌìÌà encourages all students to study abroad and financially supports our affiliated (aka pre-approved) semester programs. The College offers a variety of semester-long study abroad programs in 62 cities and 38 countries, so there’s a program for everyone! You can also complete our to narrow down your program options as well as reach out to the Study Abroad Office for recommendations. Ìý
The College strives to make study abroad programs affordable for all students by offering majority of our affiliated (aka pre-approved) semester programs for the same price as ½ûÂþÌìÌà tuition, including your typical scholarships and financial aid. Therefore, you pay the same for tuition, whether you choose to stay on campus or go abroad.Ìý
There is a small selection of affiliated programs, with higher tuition expenses, that require an additional Preferred Program Fee. For example, if a program is listed as ‘½ûÂþÌìÌà Tuition + $1,000’, you will pay your typical ½ûÂþÌìÌà tuition for the semester, along with an additional $1,000 Preferred Program Fee. This additional fee will be billed by ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ’s Business Office, along with your tuition.Ìý
Students are not required to attend a program with a Preferred Program Fee. Participation in these programs is your choice. Students required to study abroad for their major (ie. International Business and Modern Language majors) will find program options in the ‘½ûÂþÌìÌà Tuition Only’ category. If you prefer to attend another program, you will be charged the applicable Preferred Program Fee, in addition to your ½ûÂþÌìÌà tuition. But again, that’s your choice.Ìý
All countries, on the affiliated list, have program options on the ‘½ûÂþÌìÌà Tuition Only’ or ‘½ûÂþÌìÌà Tuition + $1,000’ category with the exception of Ireland and Morocco. Both of those countries are in the ‘½ûÂþÌìÌà Tuition + $2,000’ category. All programs listed in higher categories have another program, available in that same country, in a lower, more affordable category.Ìý

Partner Programs
½ûÂþÌìÌà also recommends that students consider attending our Partner Programs: and programs. These programs are separate from our affiliated list, because students are responsible for the full costs of these programs. They’re unable to apply their ½ûÂþÌìÌà scholarships for their semester abroad, but may be awarded scholarship through SFS or AU. However, we do encourage students to consider these programs due to their academic quality, so students attending these programs are only charged the standard $250 application fee, not the $1,000 non-affiliated fee.
