Find Your Flock

There's so much more to the college experience than just what classes you take, and the activities you do outside of the classroom are a huge part of that. That's why we encourage our students to join a student club or organization here on campus.

Art, music, sports, politics, fundraising...whatever you're interested in, we have a club for you! There's over 80 to choose from and if you still can't find what you're looking for, we can help you to start your own interest-based club for like-minded students. Clubs are a great way to meet new people in the Blue Jay community, step outside your comfort zone and find a new passion.

Most academic departments also have their own club or organization, giving you the perfect opportunity to get to know your peers better beyond the classroom setting. These aren't limited to major-only students though; anyone is free to join.

All 'Nest'led In

More than 85% of our students live on-campus.

Once you move in, it's time to make your nest feel like home, and get to know your roommate and others in your building. Resident Advisors (RAs) live in every residence hall and are there to provide you with support services and resources, and help you to engage in the Blue Jay community. Supported by the Office of Residence Life, RA's can be excellent mentors as you make the transition to college life and find your feet at ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ.

Local Community

It's not just on campus that our students feel at home; the wider Elizabethtown community also plays a part in shaping your experience as a student here. ½ûÂþÌìÌà may appear to be a quaint town in historic Lancaster County, but there are plenty of shops, restaurants, coffee bars, sports fields and a movie theater all within walking distance of campus. We're also less than 20 miles from Hershey, Harrisburg and Lancaster, all of which are full of cultural, recreational and entertainment opportunities.

Lancaster

The city of Lancaster is 19 miles from ½ûÂþÌìÌà and is home to vibrant artistic and cultural experiences. ½ûÂþÌìÌà the Fulton Theatre for Broadway-caliber shows, stroll along Gallery Row to see artwork from local residents and beyond, or try regional food specialties that are famous among the Pennsylvania Dutch communities at the 120-year-old Lancaster Central Market.

Harrisburg

The state capital of Pennsylvania is just 16 miles from campus and is the hub for state government and corporate connections in the area. ½ûÂþÌìÌà the National Civil War Museum and the State Museum of Pennsylvania, take a tour of the State Capitol or sit in the gallery to view the proceedings of the Pennsylvania House or Senate to see state politics up close.

Hershey

Only 11 miles from ½ûÂþÌìÌà is where all chocolate-based dreams come true. But there's so much more to Hershey than just their candy! Tour Hershey Gardens to see hundreds of tropical butterflies and botanical displays, play mini-golf or drive around in a go-cart at Adventure Sports, ride more than 13 rollercoasters at Hersheypark or catch a Hershey Bears hockey game.

Feeling Peckish

Here at ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ, we know that good food is a top priority. Our campus has multiple dining venues to give you the flexibility to grab a meal to-go at the Jay's Nest between classes one day and to sit down for a heartier option in The Marketplace with friends the next. The Blue Bean also offers tea, coffee and smoothies, along with an ½ûÂþÌìÌà favorite, carrot cake! Our Dining Services team are also available to meet with you should you have any special dietary requirements and can work with you to build a menu that suits your needs.
