Four Steps to Apply to Etown:
1 Complete either the or to begin the application process at ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ. Please note, one is not preferred over the other. Once your application is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email and instructions to set up your personal admissions portal. By checking your portal regularly, you can stay up to date on the progress of your application. This is also where decisions are posted.
2 Request to have one letter of recommendation* submitted from the primary instructor/evaluator of your homeschool program. This letter should come from the person who has been most responsible for your academic learning, and who can highlight your academic abilities (this person is often, but not always a parent or guardian).
3 Request to have your official high school transcript* submitted showing work completed at least through your junior year. High school students taking college coursework can request to have to have their transcripts submitted directly to us from the credit-granting institutions.* Please see our website for additional details.
4 Standardized Test Scores - Applications will be reviewed with or without standardized tests with the exception of the Physician Assistant Program. Please see our website for our Test Optional Policy.

What is ½ûÂþÌìÌà Known For?
We Educate for Service
Our students work, learn, and live by our motto 'Educate for Service'. Whether it is service through community advocacy, work with faith-based organizations, or any culmination of service projects they choose to undertake, we encourage our students to do good in the world regardless of what they do or how they do it. Our students have the opportunity to share and explore the values that make them unique, and work with others in a meaningful and empowering way.
A Personalized Experience
Our 13:1 student to faculty ratio is perfect for students looking for personal attention in the classroom. This allows faculty in each of our 136 majors and minors to develop strong connections with their students, providing an individualized educational experience and opportunities for mentorship.ÌýWhen you arrive on campus for your first semester, youÌýare provided with faculty advisors and student mentors through our First Year Seminar (FYS) program. You’ll meet your advisor and mentors during orientation, and they’ll be close by to help you throughout your transition to college during the first semester. After the first semester, you’ll receive an advisor from your academic department. Almost all of our faculty members are full time, which provides our students with flexible access to their professors in and out of class.
A Student-Centered Culture and Active Campus Community
We don’t just promise a supportive, caring, and vibrant community, we live it, with over 80% of our students living on our beautiful 204-acre campus. ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ’s student-centered culture is at the heart of everything we do, from being known for faculty mentoring to connecting students to nearby city centers for internship and career opportunities to the way we intentionally bridge community life, service, athletics, arts, and academics so you can discover your most fulfilling path. With more than 80 student organizations to choose from, it is easy for you to get involved from day one. Our large selection of clubs and student-groups encompass a wide scope of interests and academic disciplines, ranging from multiple faith-based student groups, to groups devoted to the arts and theater, and everything in between. Outside of our organized groups, we also offer multiple opportunities for students to get involved in campus activities from world-renowned speakers to student-run events (movies, improv comedy, field-games) to intramural sports and wellness events.Ìý
