Melanie Wurster ’19
Full-time Job: Program Coordinator at Presley Ridge

Why ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ: Melanie chose ½ûÂþÌìÌà for its flexibility in balancing her full-time job and studies. The online and flexible options were essential for her to advance her career.
In Her Words: “The flexibility is what drew me to Etown. I could handle my work and school simultaneously.â€
Goal: She plans to continue graduate studies at Tulane University in Social Work.
Larry Henry ’20
Full-time Job: Vendor Business Manager, D&H

Why ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ: After 22 years in the business industry, Larry decided to pursue his bachelor’s degree to inspire his children and show that learning is lifelong. ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ’s flexible program was a perfect fit for him.
In His Words: “People ask why I’m doing this when I already have a solid career. I say it gives me options.â€
Goal: Larry aspires to earn his master's degree after completing his bachelor's.
Jessica Waltersdorff ’19

Why ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ: As a single mom of three, Jessica wanted to provide a better future for her family. ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ’s flexible SGPS program allowed her to study while fulfilling her responsibilities.
In Her Words: “The SGPS professors understand that adult learners have lives outside of the classroom and are very supportive.â€
Goal: Jessica hopes to reenter the workforce as an office manager in the medical field.

In Her Words: “I’m a mom of three girls and when I made the decision to go back to school, I had middle school and elementary age children, and we really had to think about why that was so important for their future. So for me, it was about setting an example and leaving them a legacy.â€
Adam Bergens ’18
Full-time Job: Director of Building and Grounds, Elizabethtown School District
½ûÂþÌìÌà SGPS Program: Business Administration
Why ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ: As an electrician, Adam wanted to pursue a business degree. ½ûÂþÌìÌà offered him the flexibility to complete his degree while working full-time, which allowed him to reach his goal in three years.
