As a Chemistry Laboratory Science major, you’ll be exposed to an intentionally-focused curriculum designed to prepare you for the job market after graduation, specifically in the area of analytical chemistry.
Our innovative Chemistry Laboratory Science program provides foundational and advanced coursework in Chemistry and a full-semester full-time internship experience in a local chemical industry company to take advantage of the growing demand for analytical chemists. These internships result in full-time job positions in the field.
What Can I Do With a Degree in Chemistry Laboratory Science?
After completing our program, you’ll be fully prepared to enter the workforce. You’ll learn how to prepare for a career in lab work through our rigorous curriculum and guaranteed real-world learning experiences. All of our Chemistry Laboratory Science majors complete a semester in a full-time internship within an industrial lab before graduation. We are able to offer our junior and senior students internship opportunities with local area businesses, including Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories. As a result of these partnerships and internship program, our students are that much better prepared when applying for jobs.

As you study laboratory science, you’ll be introduced to a variety of integrated lab experiences and advanced instrumentation. Our flexible program also leaves room for you to choose courses within other areas of interest to complement your chemistry laboratory science major.

In this program, you will have the opportunity to add to your training with courses in marketing and economics, statistics, and the other sciences. You can be well prepared for a range of possible career directions by building a broad skillset, making your skills more marketable to potential employers.
Chemistry Minor
Students majoring in another discipline are able to add a minor in Chemistry to their studies. Whether you're majoring in another STEM field or not, our minor is very flexible and compliments many different areas of study.
